REGENeration & Judgement Day - 7/9/07

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO !

What an incredible night ! 600 people thru the door within the first hour and still a massive queue outside was an excellent start. 1200 people in altogether ! A massive success.

Everyone I heard play was awesome. Local boys Flabski & AEMS played some cracking tunes within the first 90 minutes, lots of classics and not necessarily anthems. Perfect start for the Regeneration. Upstairs, Rascal & Bass Generator provided some banging hardstyle for the first hour and 45 minutes and the hard kicks sounded super on that sound system.

I played a mainstream Dutch/Italian gabber set to keep the music flowing and build up to Partyraiser. He definitely was the star of the show upstairs. The kick off was incredible - 2 records and 2 CD's all going, superb scratching with his elbow, nose and anything else he could find.

Unfortunately missed Uncle Mikey B downstairs who was dropping some Ruffneck tunes which the crowd love! Superb !

The Sickest Squad up'ed the tempo upstairs with there bouncy Italian Frenchcore, while Slipmatt was bashing out all the anthems downstairs mashed up with newskool breaks remixes. Altern 8 finished the night off with more classics which had the crowd shouting "one more tune" which has never happened at Digital before ! UEP finished off upstairs with a nice selection of darkcore, industrial & breaks and even managed to fall asleep at one point, ha ha

An excellent up for it raver crowd. Young'ns and Old'ns all going for it. Loads of happy faces, no 'charvaz' and no trouble at all. Even the card staff were dressed up in oldskool raver boiler suits. Marvellous atmosphere.

Raving and Judgement Day is back with a bang in Newcastle !
